Sustainable development is no longer an option for the industry, it is a necessity. Brazil’s commitment is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. At Nexans, we are committed to being part of this movement by reducing our environmental impact.

With this in mind, Nexans has introduced REBOBINANDO, a reel recycling service exclusively for its partners, thus promoting the circular economy.

What are the advantages for partners?

• Helps reduce speculation on wood prices

• Lifecycle control of reels

• Issuance of a certificate proving the recycling of reels

Currently, 90% of the reels used by Nexans are recycled thanks to the REBOBINANDO program—our well-known red reels. We propose that our customers return these reels, which are then reconditioned to ensure the same technical and operational quality as new reels.

In return, the customer receives a certificate that can be used with authorities to justify the final destination of the packaging.

Our commitment is clear: never compromise on quality. Reuse is only possible when we are able to maintain the same performance standards. This process is the result of careful technical work carried out by our partner, a specialist dedicated to reel regeneration.
