Aplication:
Due to their good flexibility and the excellent appearance of their glossy outer cover, Nexans PVC-PVC cables are widely used for connecting household appliances such as hoovers, floor polishers, refrigerators and mixers. They are also used to connect portable motorised tools such as drills, sanders, saws, etc.

 

Construction:

  1. Conductor: Made of bare copper wires, minimum conductivity 100% IACS, soft tempered, class 5 stranding.
  2. Insulation: Flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic compound (70 °C), in different colours for identification.
  3. Cover: Flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic compound, type ST5 in black colour.

 

Identification of conductors:

Conductors are color coded insulation as follows:

  • 2 conductors: black and light blue;
  • 3 conductors: black, brown and light blue;
  • 4 conductors: black, brown, light blue and yellow-green.
  • 5 conductors: black, brown, black, light blue and yellow-green;

 

Operating regime:

The thermal limit in operating regime is in accordance with ABNT NBR 6251.

Permanent regime: 70ºC
Overload regime: 100ºC
Short-circuit regime: 160ºC

 

Note:

-Formations with conductors with a cross-section of 2mm² only apply to Paraguay and Uruguay.

-Dimensions and parameters determined on the basis of nominal values, therefore subject to the tolerances laid down in the specifications and manufacturing variations.
