Nexans EPR105-PVC 12/20kV
Nexans EPR105-PVC cable (formerly EP-DRY 105) is a medium voltage cable, from 3.6/6 kV to 20/35 kV. Its main feature is its EPR 105 composite insulation, which allows it to operate at a temperature of up to 105ºC at steady state, resulting in a higher current carrying capacity. It has a PVC sheath (ST2), copper conductor, stranded class 2, compacted type.

Application
Nexans EPR105-PVC cables are ideal for applications in insulated power supply and distribution circuits in substations, industrial and commercial installations. They can be installed in a wide variety of conditions, including outdoors, in ducts, raceways, underground installations, duct banks or trays. Compared to conventional cables insulated with EPR, HEPR or XLPE, which have a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C, Nexans EPR105-PVC cables can operate with a continuous conductor temperature of up to 105°C, resulting in higher current carrying capacity. In addition, they have a coordinated insulation thickness according to NBR 6251, resulting in reduced external dimensions compared to conventional EPR, HEPR or XLPE insulated cables.
Construction
1.Conductor: Formed by bare copper wires, minimum conductivity 100% IACS, soft quenching, compacted stranding class 2 compliant.
2.Conductor shielding: Extruded semi-conductor thermosetting compound.
3.Insulation: Thermosetting ethylene propylene rubber compound (EPR 105) for an operating temperature at the conductor of 105 °C, meeting the physical requirements prescribed by NBR 6251.
4.Insulating shielding: Non-metallic shielding based on extruded semi-conductive thermosetting compound, easily removed when cold and manufactured using a triple extrusion process and a nitrogen dry curing system.
5.Metallic shielding: Consisting of copper wires, helically applied to the insulating shielding, with a minimum cross-section of 6 mm2 according to NBR 6251. For different shielding sections, please consult in advance.
6.Sheath: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic compound, black colour, complying with the physical requirements prescribed by NBR 6251, type ST2.

Supplied in black colour with sequential marking of the footage.
Operation regime:
Thermal limits in operating conditions are in accordance with ABNT NBR 6251.
Permanent regime: 105ºC
Overload regime: 140ºC
Short-circuit rating: 250ºC
