University of Lausanne installs Category 7
Earmarked to welcome first-year students, the most recent building on the Dorigny campus will be inaugurated early in 2004.
This contract is of major significance for Nexans. Working in collaboration with the IT Department of the University of Lausanne, the Perrin & Spaeth SA electrical engineering consultancy and the Chaillet SA électricité contractor in Lausanne, the project for this latest-generation Category 7 cabling represents a first for Nexans Suisse.
The installation of over 1900 LANmark-7 GG45 snap-in connectors with over 45km of LANmark-7 STP cable has been succesfully tested for compliance with the Category 7/Class F standards.
