Description
Standards
National : ABNT NBR 15142Description
Construction: Soft annealed bare copper conductor, 0.50mm nominal diameter, insulated with colored solid polyethylene. The insulated conductors are twisted in pairs and assembled in layers and/or groups to form a substantially cylindrical core. The cable core is bound with binder threads and/or a binder polyester tape and shielded by a flat polyethylene-clad aluminium tape (LAP - Laminated Aluminium Polyethylene), longitudinally applied. A black polyethylene jacket is extruded over the shield. Under the jacket, two ripcords are applied to ease the jacket removal. Service pairs may be available, according to the Brazilian Standard ABNT NBR 15142, upon customer request.
Application: These cables are intended for xDSL signal transmission for frequencies up to 40 MHz.
Installation: Aerial, lashed to a messenger, or in buried duct.

Sheath marking:
NEXANS YYYY CTP-APL-xDSL 50/XXX 40MHZ OP-ZZZZZ LLLL
Where:
YYYY = Year of manufacturing;
XXX = Pair count;
ZZZZZ = Purchase order;
LLLL = Metric length (m)
The marking is made on the jacket, at each meter, along the cable axis.
Other markings can be done, upon request.
