Nexans HEPR-SHF1 3,6/6 and 6/10kV 1x300mm2
Nexans HEPR-SHF1 3,6/6 and 6/10kV 1x300mm2
Nexans HEPR-SHF1 cable (formerly EP-DRY Afitox) is a medium voltage cable, ranging from 3.6/6 kV to 20/35 kV. It offers superior protection in fire conditions with resistance to the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases, resistance to solar radiation and non-halogenated composition, ensuring a safer environment. Insulated in high-quality HEPR and protected by an SHF1 sheath, this cable is designed to withstand the most demanding conditions. See technical details below:

Application
Nexans HEPR-SHF1 cables are ideal for applications in isolated power supply and distribution circuits in substations, industrial and commercial installations. They can be installed in a variety of conditions, including outdoors, in conduits, ducts, underground installations, duct banks or trays. Because they have fire-retardant characteristics combined with low smoke and toxic gas emissions - which represent the greatest risks in a fire - they are suitable for installations in places with high occupancy density and difficult escape conditions. In addition, they have a coordinated insulation thickness, in accordance with NBR 6251, which results in reduced external dimensions compared to conventional cables insulated with EPR, HEPR or XLPE.
Construction
1.Conductor: Formed by bare copper wires, minimum conductivity 100% IACS, soft quenching, compacted stranding class 2 compliant.
2.Conductor shielding: Extruded semi-conductor thermosetting compound.
3.Insulation: High-modulus ethylene-propylene compound (HEPR), for a maximum temperature of 90ºC at all times.
4.Insulating shielding: Non-metallic shielding based on extruded semi-conductive thermosetting compound, easily removed when cold and manufactured using a triple extrusion process and a nitrogen dry curing system.
5.Metallic shielding: Consisting of copper wires, helically applied to the insulating shielding, with a minimum cross-section of 6 mm2 according to NBR 6251. For different shielding sections, please consult in advance.
6.Sheath: Non-halogenated thermoplastic compound, type SHF1, in black.
Identification:
Supplied in black colour with sequential marking of the footage.
Operation regime:
Thermal limits in operating conditions are in accordance with ABNT NBR 6251.
Permanent regime: 90ºC (*)
Overload regime: 130ºC
Short-circuit rating: 250ºC
(*)
As an additional requirement, Nexans Brasil uses compounds in this product line that meet the permanent operating temperature of up to 105°C (EPR105).
