Application:

Nexans DC SOLAR 120°C 1/1kV cable is particularly recommended for interconnecting panels and connecting modules in photovoltaic systems.

Construction:

Nexans DC SOLAR 120°C 1/1kV cable is a flexible unipolar power cable with a tinned copper conductor, extruded thermosetting compound insulation and a thermosetting copolymer-based compound cover, resistant to high temperatures and UVB, for voltages up to 1 kV (1500 V DC). Note: For voltage between positive and negative insulated conductors, the cable can be subjected to a maximum voltage of 1800 V DCMAX.

  1. Conductor: Made of tinned copper wires, minimum conductivity 100% IACS, soft temper, meeting class 5 stranding.
  2. Insulation: Extruded thermosetting compound, suitable for permanent operating temperatures of up to 90°C and 20,000 hours at 120°C.
  3. Outer Sheath: Extruded layer of thermosetting copolymer-based compound resistant to high temperatures verified using the Arrhenius methodology for determining the temperature index (IT), ensuring 20,000h at 120ºC, with special flame-resistant, UVB-resistant, non-halogenated and low acid gas emission characteristics.

Operating regime:

The thermal limits under operating conditions are in accordance with ABNT NBR 16612.

Permanent regime: 90ºC
Maximum operating temperature in the conductor for a maximum of 20,000h: 120ºC
Short-circuit regime: 250ºC
