Application:

Nexans AC/DC AL solar 1/1kV cables are mainly recommended in the interconnections of junction boxes, and AC/DC inverters - Power Conditioning Units (PCU), in photovoltaic arrays and sub-arrays and application circuits.

Construction:

Nexans AC/DC AL solar 1/1kV cable is a unipolar power cable, with an aluminum conductor, HEPR insulation and UVB-resistant PVC cover, for voltages up to 1 kV (1500 V DC).  Note: For voltage between the positive and negative insulated conductors, the cable can be subjected to a maximum voltage of 1800 V DCMÁX.

  1. Conductor: Formed from compacted round aluminum wires, class 2, according to NBR NM 280.
  2. Insulation: High-modulus ethylene-propylene (HEPR) based thermosetting compound, suitable for permanent operating temperatures of up to 90°C.
  3. Cover: Extruded layer of polyvinyl chloride - PVC (ST2), with special flame-resistant, UVB-resistant and lead-free characteristics (free of heavy metals). For more severe conditions in underground installations, PE-based compounds may be more appropriate, due to their low coefficient of friction and watertightness.

Note: As an option, Nexans AC/DC AL solar 1/1kV cable can be supplied with XLPE insulation.

Identification:

They are supplied in black with sequential marking of the length.

 

 

Operating regime:

The thermal limits under operating conditions are in accordance with ABNT NBR 6251.

Permanent regime: 90ºC
Overload regime: 130ºC
Short-circuit regime: 250ºC
